What Are Seizures?
Treating Seizures
Seizures are the result of abnormal signals sent from the brain that affect the way the body functions. These seizures can produce anything from minor shaking of the hand, to a loss of consciousness and violent shaking of the entire body. If your child has been experiencing seizures, whether from some form of trauma or from epilepsy, you need the help of a neurologist.
Finding a long-term treatment for seizures is typically based on the cause of the seizures. Pediatric Neurology Associates has been treating seizures in infants, children and adolescents since our inception in 1988.
Some common causes of seizures are the following:
» Lack of Oxygen |
» Head Trauma |
» Illness |
